MicroBioChips and Biosystems International signed a collaboration contract to launch a new product to speed-up identification of human plasma biomarkers: PlasmascanTM380.PlasmascanTM380 is a monoclonal antibody library that will be marketed by MicroBioChips on microarrays to accelerate human plasma biomarker discovery, with higher accuracy and better speed than routine techniques. The PlasmascanTM380 library contains 380 unique monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) raised against low and medium abundant, native human plasma proteins using Biosystems International’s patent pending high throughput mAb proteomics process. Biosystems mAb libraries have previously been successfully used by Biosystems International to identify new biomarkers in cancer. The new array format will allow scientists to accelerate their research in the field of biomarkers.
“MicroBioChips’ expertise and know-how in Protein & Antibody microarrays will strongly complement our patented monoclonal antibody platform to provide the best antibody microarray for biomarker discovery” says Laszlo Takacs, CSO of Biosystems International.
Vincent Saulot, CEO of MicroBioChips added “This collaboration will give MicroBioChips customers access to a powerful catalogue of antibodies in a multiplex format to accelerate research in the field of plasma biomarker discovery.”
